Ladbrokes is one of the oldest and most recognisable brands in the gambling industry. They have been around for what seems forever (established 1886) and they have continued to grow into the powerhouse that they are today.
Their headquarters is based in London, England and they are licensed via the UK Gambling Commission. Interestingly, in 2015 the company actually merged with the Gala Coral Group in a deal that would make them the largest bookmaker in the world, whilst still technically trading under the two separate names.
They offer their customers the complete package, by this we mean sports, poker, casino, bingo, lotto, mobile, exchange betting and live casino games. There are very few that offer the ‘holy trinity’, which is one of the reasons why they have been so successful over the years.
Sports Betting at Ladbrokes
It’s sports betting that Ladbrokes initial foray was in and it’s still this section of the gambling industry that they are best known for. It’s also arguably their strongest suit and with this comes a depth that very few bookmakers can compete with.
In more recent times their mobile app has meant that people can access this wealth of sports and markets whilst on the go. The first edition of the app was, for want of a better word, hopeless, but now we can assure that it’s one of the best in the business and much more fitting with the Ladbrokes ethos of providing quality for their customer base.
What’s really nice is that the app will work with all mobile platforms and for each you will be assigned a dedicated version of their mobile site that’s been designed specifically for each platform.
Odds and Markets
The Ladbrokes pricing structure has always been rock solid. They aren’t going to blow you away each week and be massively higher than the competition, but at the same time you know that pretty any bet you make with Ladbrokes is going to be right up as the best priced in the industry.
The market depth that’s on offer is one that you are going to be really impressed with! They cover pretty much anything and everything in the world of sport from all corners of the globe. That being said, it’s football betting where they are going to really shine with hundreds of markets being available to bet on for pretty much every match they offer. Given that they include leagues from the UAE, Nigeria, Columbia and Australia to name but a few, it really does highlight how in-depth their coverage is.
Live Betting and Streaming
The live betting section is an absolute pleasure to use and gives most other bookies a run for their money. Upon entering the section you are able to see a huge list of live games that are taking place, but the quick tabs at the top allow you to switch between your sports of choice.
Once you’ve found the match that you want to bet on you are then able to not only see the odds for that game, but also quickly access any other markets that linked to the game and available for you to bet. Whilst aesthetics aren’t the be all and end all for a bookmaker, this section looks super cool on Ladbrokes the match centre at the top is as good as we have come across.
But, what’s really impressive is that the live streaming channel is linked to their live betting section, meaning you can watch games live whilst keeping track of the markets and odds. To access the live streaming you will need to have either placed a bet within the last 24 hours or have a funded Ladbrokes account (just £1 will gain you access to the whole streaming channel).
Whilst not a ‘feature’ as such, we did want to highlight how good the Ladbrokes site is looking these days. They underwent a huge redesign in 2015 and they’ve gone from one of the worst looking bookmakers to arguably the best almost over night. It’s a really modern, slick looking bookmaker and it’s honestly somewhere that you’d be more than at home with due its supreme usability.
The money back accumulator offer is Ladbrokes shining light for their other offers section. Basically, if you pale a 5-fold accumulator or more and just one team lets you down, Ladbrokes will refund your stake worth up to £25.
They also offer double the odds on all first goal scorer bets if your player scores within the first 25 minutes. So, if you backed someone to score at odds of 10/1 and they scored first in the 15th minute, then Ladbrokes would double the initial odds and pay out at odds of 20/1.
Casino Games at Ladbrokes
The majority of larger bookmakers these days all offer casino, but few are as well known for doing so as Ladbrokes. They’ve been including casino games into their portfolio for decades now and they have managed to establish themselves as two separate brands, away from their sportsbook heritage; no mean feat!
Software and Games
One of the most unique aspects of the Ladbrokes casino is the fact that they use no less than 17 software providers for their casino games. The most notable from this bunch are Playtech, Ash Gaming and Evolution Gaming. With so many providers come an absolute boat load of games to play and as a result, Ladbrokes now have one of the biggest catalogues of games in the industry.
The casino can be accessed by either a download to your desktop or simply via your browser. With this comes a huge range of jackpot games often with winnings hitting 7 figures for the bigger titles, but regularly 6 figures for the ‘smaller’ ones.
Mobile Casino Games
The whole casino, similarly to the sportsbook, can be accessed via your mobile device. You can download the apps direct form the Ladbrokes website by scanning the QR code on your iPhone, Android or tablet and you’ll automatically be prompted with a download.
Due to the fact that there are so many titles to play in the casino, it’s understandable when we were to find a few titles missing on their mobile app. When we say a few, we reckon maybe 10-20%, but this doesn’t detract from the fact that you can still access hundreds of casino games, direct from your smartphone.
The bingo section at Ladbrokes is just as comprehensive as every other area on the site. You get games running around the clock with cards starting out from as little as 5p. The jackpots on the bingo games are impressive with 6 figure sums being regularly won on board.
The poker room is powered by Microgaming and with that comes one of the largest poker networks in the world. Games again are available around the clock and they include Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Speed poker and dozens of tournaments every hour.
As you’d expect from one of the biggest gambling companies in the world, you’re going to be getting a large number of payment options to choose from. These include Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, PayPal, Neteller, Paysafecard, Western Union, Bank Transfer and also the ability to find your account from a Ladbrokes high street shop.
You wont incur any fees from either withdrawals or deposits with Ladbrokes and times will range for a withdrawal from 1-5 days. E-wallets are actually processed much quicker than this and it’s likely you will have your money within a matter of hours.
