It probably doesn’t come as a huge shock to find that the top 10 list found above is dominated by the big UK high street brands. These guys have been around for many many years and have spent that time battling with each other to become the ‘top dog’, resulting in better odds, websites and features for us.
But that doesn’t mean that you have to stick the the old school bookies in order to find yourself a quality site to bet on – new websites spring up all the time, and because they’re competing with the big boys they often have to pull out all of the stops to get noticed.
In the next section you’ll find our top 3 new betting sites (or rather, new compared to the ones listed above). All of them have gone above and beyond to provide a truly competitive product and are well worth checking out – so if you’re looking for somewhere new to bet, try one of the following.
New Betting Sites For 2021
|Site||Bonus (T&Cs Apply)||Notes||Visit|
|No Bonus, But Regular Offers||Very solid site with plenty of offers.|
|SportNation Terms – T&Cs Apply 18+ #ad|
We’re classifying the websites listed in the table above as new bookmakers. Now this doesn’t necessarily mean they only launched last week, rather that they’re not as established as the bookies in our top 10. It could also include gambling sites who have recently added a sportsbook to their portfolio of products, despite their other products having been around for much longer.
Some of the new sites we’re seeing at the moment are excellent and it’s clear that they’re well funded with a good product and an appetite for quality. That’s not to say that you should sign up to any old new site you find though, there are plenty of low quality white labels that offer poor odds and even worse customer service. We’d suggest you stick to the ones we’ve tested and are happy to recommend.
What's On This Week
Carabao Cup – 21st & 22nd September 2021
The third round of the 2021 Carabao Cup gets underway this week, with the Premier League big boys joining the competition. Things are starting to hot up in the EFL Cup, and we have a number of mouth-watering ties to look forward to in midweek. Liverpool travel to Norwich City, and Fulham and Leeds United clash at Craven Cottage on Tuesday, a potential upset for sure. On Wednesday night, Arsenal host Wimbledon, Chelsea and Aston Villa lock horns at Stamford Bridge, and Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The standout fixture of the round will see Manchester United and West Ham United square off at Old Trafford.
EFL Championship – 24th to 25th September 2021
This weekend’s EFL Championship action gets up and running on Friday night with two fixtures – in-form Coventry City host Peterborough United, while West Bromwich Albion entertain Queens Park Rangers. We have 10 games to look forward to on Saturday, starting with the Reading v Middlesbrough affair at the Madejski Stadium. Later in the day, Bristol City welcome Fulham to Ashton Gate, Sheffield United and Derby County lock horns at Bramall Lane, and Swansea City entertain Huddersfield Town.
Ryder Cup – 24th to 26th September 2021
After a year’s wait, the Ryder Cup will finally take place in Whistling Straits in Wisconsin this week. With the last edition being held in 2018, this is arguably the most eagerly anticipated Ryder Cup in history. Team USA and Team Europe will go head-to-head in Haven for the 43rd edition of this famous golf tournament. Europe are the current holders after a comfortable win at Le Golf National three years ago. However, backed by their ferocious support, and with so many of their team inside the world’s top 20, USA are the odds-on favourites in Wisconsin, but Europe will be desperate to keep hold of their crown.
Laver Cup – 24th to 26th September 2021
The fourth edition of the Laver Cup will take place in Boston, United States this week. This men’s tennis tournament between Europe and the Rest of the World will be held at TD Garden on indoor hard courts. Bjorn Borg will captain Europe, while John McEnroe will once again take charge of the World team. Team Europe have dominated this competition, winning three in a row. Can the Europeans make it four on the spin in Boston at the weekend?
Premier League – 25th to 27th September 2021
Heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester City do battle at Stamford Bridge in a mouth-watering match to kick off the Premier League action this weekend. Also, Manchester United host Aston Villa at Old Trafford. Saturday’s late game will see new boys Brentford take on giants Liverpool at the Brentford Community Stadium. We have two games to look forward to this Sunday, with Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers kicking things off at St Mary’s. North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur square off in the late game. The Premier League action concludes on Monday night when rivals Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion meet at Selhurst Park.
Antony Joshua v Oleksandr Usyk – 25th September 2021
Anthony Joshua steps back into the ring on Saturday night, as the Watford man takes on former cruiserweight Oleksandr Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The bout, which is billed as Dare to Do and The Perfect Storm, will be Joshua’s first since beating Kubrat Pulev at Wembley Arena back in December. The home superstar will be gunning for his 25th professional career win against the undefeated Usyk. As you would expect, AJ is the heavy favourite with the bookies but anything can happen in boxing.
Russian Grand Prix – 26th September 2021
The Russian Grand Prix at the Sochi Autodrom this Sunday will be the 15th race of what has been an action-packed 2021 Formula One season. We have seen 14 spectacular races so far, with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen trading places at the top all year long. The Red Bull man heads to Russia just five points clear at the summit. Hamilton has won four times on this track, and Mercedes have been dominant in Sochi in recent years. Can Lewis get the win in Russia and move back to the top of the World Drivers’ Championship standings?

What Makes A Good Betting Site
So how do we pick the bookmakers that make it into this site? We take a variety of factors into account (listed below in no particular order) which we look at in combination with each other. In the majority of cases they betting sites should tick all of the boxes to some degree, however we may lists sites which lack in certain aspects if they excel in others – see each bookmakers review for full details.
- Odds – First and foremost we look at the odds as any betting site worth its salt will be competitive in its prices. Some of the betting sites will offer better odds than others on particular markets – in particular, BetVictor have often been awarded the title of ‘best overall football odds’ in multiple seasons. Peer-to-peer betting exchanges often have better odds than traditional bookmakers, but this comes at the cost of some features (namely multiple and accumulator bets) and the frequency of promotions.
- Markets – Having great odds doesn’t mean squat if they’re not on the events you want to bet on. So we look at the number and availability of markets that the site offers – in diversity, variety and number.
- Useability – Any decent betting site should be easy to use. The best betting sites feature intuitive layouts that enable you to place your bets quickly and easily.
- Features – Various features are more important to some punters than others, and we try to take this into account accordingly. Features we particularly look for include mobile betting capabilities, banking methods, in-play betting and live streaming feeds.
- Promotions & Offers – We look at the frequency and value of promotions, but not just for new customers – we also look at the ongoing promotions and specials that the site offers its existing customers. Most of the sites we list offer promotions such as cash back specials, enhanced odds, free bets, betting bonuses, accumulator bonuses and so on… A small number of betting sites even offer loyalty points or bonuses to reward you for every bet you make.
