There are a number of bonus midweek Premier League fixtures to look forward to from Tuesday until Thursday, with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United all in action.

However, all eyes will be on the other end of the table as Swansea City welcome Southampton to the Liberty Stadium for a huge relegation six-pointer on Tuesday.

  • Swansea City v Southampton – Southampton Win (8/5 at Betfred)

Premier League

After a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace last Saturday, Paul Lambert’s Stoke City were relegated to the EFL Championship. West Bromwich Albion lived to fight another day after a stunning win against Tottenham. Swansea, who play the Saints in midweek, were the big losers at the weekend, falling back into the drop zone after defeat at Bournemouth. Get ready for more thrills and spills in the Premier League during the week.

Swansea City v Southampton – 8th May

Swansea host Southampton at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday for a massive fixture in terms of relegation and survival. Last weekend’s results mean that the Swans and Saints go into this one level on 33 points each, with Hughes’ side ahead on goal difference.

Since thumping West Ham United 4-1 back in early March, Carlos Carvalhal’s Swansea have picked up just three points from a possible 18. As for the Saints, four points from their last two has given them a fighting chance.

Southampton conceded at the death on Saturday to drop two points to Everton. However, we fancy Hughes and his troops to hit back with a vital victory in South Wales. The away win is available at 8/5 with Betfred.

Chelsea v Huddersfield Town – 9th May

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea welcome David Wagner’s relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. The Blues are the huge favourites with the bookmakers.

Chelsea will not give up hope on a place in the UEFA Champions League, and three points on Wednesday will keep their top-four dreams well and truly alive. The Terriers are still looking dangerously over their shoulder.

This should be an easy three points for the home team, and we like the look of Coral’s 4/7 for Chelsea to win -1 at the Bridge.

Leicester City v Arsenal – 9th May

Having said his goodbyes to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Arsene Wenger takes his Arsenal side to Leicester City on Wednesday for their penultimate game of the season.

Incredibly, the Gunners have lost 10 of their 17 away league games this term, failing to pick up a single Premier League point on their travels since a 1-1 draw with West Brom on New Year’s Eve. The Foxes, meanwhile, have lost four of their last five.

With two away games left, we’re backing Wenger’s men to leave the King Power Stadium with a rare win on the road this Wednesday. The 1-0 Arsenal triumph is nicely priced at 10/1 (Bet365).

Manchester City v Brighton & Hove Albion – 9th May

After securing survival with a 1-0 win over Man Utd last Friday, Chris Hughton’s Brighton & Hove Albion will be in high spirits when they make the trip to the Etihad Stadium to play champions Man City on Wednesday night.

The Citizens have been near faultless on their own patch this season, and Pep Guardiola will want his side to chalk up another home win in this one. Win, lose or draw, Brighton will enjoy their trip to the home of the champions.

We can see another big City victory on Wednesday, with BetVictor’s evens for the Citizens to win -2 standing out. They slipped up somewhat against Huddersfield but we fancy they’ll put on a real show here.

Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United – 9th May

Having accumulated only four points from their last three games, Tottenham are doing their best to throw away fourth spot. Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs will be desperate to get back on track with a win over Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle United on Wednesday evening.

The Lilywhites were shocked on Saturday, conceding late to lose 1-0 to lowly West Brom. Since securing their top-flight status, the Magpies have lost their last three all by a one-goal margin.

This is Tottenham’s penultimate Premier League match\ at Wembley Stadium, with Leicester to come on the final day. Spurs will be targeting six points, and we feel there’s decent value in BetVictor’s 19/20 for Tottenham to win to nil on Wednesday.

West Ham United v Manchester United – 10th May

The final Premier League fixture in midweek takes place at the London Stadium as David Moyes’ West Ham entertain Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd. Will the Red Devils get back to winning ways on Thursday night?

The Hammers all but confirmed their place in the top flight for next season after a superb 2-0 win at Leicester on Saturday. As for Man Utd, they were embarrassingly beaten 1-0 at Brighton on Friday night.

This should be an entertaining affair in the capital, with Mourinho demanding a reaction from his players following their poor defeat last time out. With that in mind, put some money on the away win and both teams to score at 12/5 with Betfair.
