Premier League football is back this weekend after the first international break of the season. Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool get the top flight back underway with a blockbuster encounter at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In the EFL Championship, Midlands rivals Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion lock horns at St Andrew’s on Friday, with the other 11 Championship matches all taking place on Saturday.

15/09/2018 17:30 Watford v Man Utd Man Utd Win
16/09/2018 13:30 Wolves v Burnley Wolves to Win 2-0

Liverpool, Watford and Chelsea are the only three teams left in the Premier League with a 100% record. Before the break, the Hornets shocked Tottenham by coming from a goal down to earn a 2-1 win at Vicarage Road. This weekend, Watford host Manchester United, while Spurs entertain Liverpool. Meanwhile, Chelsea welcome Cardiff City to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool

Saturday 15th September, 12:30, Sky Sports

Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool meet at Wembley Stadium on Saturday for the standout game in the Premier League. Having picked up 12 points out of 12 so far, the Reds head to the national stadium as the slight favourites.

Spurs will be hoping to bounce back following their disappointing defeat at Vicarage Road before the international break. As for Klopp’s men, they will be looking to build on wins over West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion and Leicester City.

Tottenham were very hard to beat at Wembley last term, with only Chelsea and Manchester City winning there in the Premier League. We fancy this to end all square in the capital on Saturday, so back the draw at 13/5 with BetVictor.

Watford v Manchester United

Saturday 15th September, 17:30, BT Sport

Jose Mourinho takes his Man United side to Vicarage Road to play high flying Watford in Saturday’s late kick off in the Premier League. The Hornets are already six points above their visitors, but Javier Gracia’s men go into this home game as the underdogs.

Watford have made a remarkable start to their campaign, sealing wins over Brighton, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Tottenham. Meanwhile, having taken just three points from a possible nine, the Red Devils hit back with a 2-0 win at Turf Moor before the break.

Watford may well be the team in form, but we can see United sealing back-to-back wins for the first time this season. The Man United win is available at 10/11 at bet365.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Burnley

Sunday 16th September, 13:30, Sky Sports

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers entertain Sean Dyche’s Burnley at Molineux on Sunday afternoon. Wanderers will be eager to build on their win at West Ham last time out.

Last season’s Championship winners have made a solid start to their Premier League campaign. Wolves had drawn with Everton and Man City before beating West Ham at the London Stadium. Burnley, who have been involved in the UEFA Europa League, have just one point to their name.

Wolves have drawn both of their home games so far, but we fancy them to secure maximum points at Molineux at the weekend. The home team to win 2-0 is nicely priced at 7/1 with BetVictor.

Everton v West Ham United

Sunday 16th September, 16:00, Sky Sports

Marco Silva’s unbeaten Everton welcome Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham to Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon. The Hammers are the only side in all four divisions to pick up a single point so far.

The Toffees have won one and drawn three of their four Premier League games so far, with that sole victory coming against Southampton last month. Pellegrini has had a horrendous start to his managerial career at the London Stadium, losing all four games thus far.

With Everton at home, Silva’s side will back themselves to secure their second league win of the season on Sunday. Put some money on the hosts to be winning at half time and full time (21/10 at bet365).

Southampton v Brighton & Hove Albion

Monday 17th September, 20:00, Sky Sports

The final Premier League game of the round takes place at St Mary’s as Southampton and Brighton do battle. The Saints will fancy their chances of picking up three points after a 2-0 win at Selhurst Park in their last outing.

Before beating Palace in London, Mark Hughes’ men had started their season by claiming just one point from three games. As for Brighton, since shocking Man United at the Amex Stadium, the Seagulls have taken one point from a possible six.

These two have already met this season, with Southampton running out 1-0 winners at the Amex in an EFL Cup match last month. For a repeat 1-0 Saints win this Monday, check out bet365’s top odds of 6/1.

EFL Championship

Date Time Match Tip
14/09/2018 19:45 Birmingham v West Brom West Brom Win & BTTS
15/09/2018 17:30 Blackburn v Aston Villa Aston Villa Win

Having both picked up 14 points from six games, Leeds United and Middlesbrough, who drew 0-0 at Elland Road last time out, sit joint top of the Championship table. United make the trip to Millwall this Saturday, while Boro travel to Norwich City. At the other end of the table, Paul Clement’s Reading sit bottom on just two points. The Royals, Ipswich Town and Birmingham are the only three teams in the Championship yet to win a game.

Birmingham City v West Bromwich Albion

Friday 14th September, 19:45, Sky Sports

On Friday night in the Championship, Garry Monk’s Birmingham and Darren Moore’s West Brom square off in a mouth-watering Midlands derby. These two rivals have not met in a league match in over seven years.

Birmingham are still waiting for their first win of the season. So far, the Blues have drawn four and lost three of their seven league and cup fixtures. In contrast, the Baggies have won five of their last six in all competitions.

After a slow start, West Brom are slowly but surely finding their rhythm, winning three of their last four in the Championship. Betfred are offering 4/1 for the away side to win and both teams to score this Friday.

Blackburn Rovers v Aston Villa

Saturday 15th September, 17:30, Sky Sports

Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn entertain Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa at Ewood Park on Saturday evening in the Championship. Both teams will be desperate to recover from heavy 4-1 defeats last time out.

Blackburn had made a fine start to their season before being thumped 4-1 at Bristol City before the international break. Prior to that, Rovers had taken nine points from five games. Villa are also sitting on nine points having won two, drawn three and lost one so far.

This should be an entertaining game in Lancashire, but we’re backing the Villans to bounce back with an away win. The Aston Villa victory is available at 17/10 (Coral).
