Brazilian Grand Prix Betting Tips & Analysis – 12th November 2017

The Formula 1 season is almost at a close, with the title wrapped up and just two races left. Lewis Hamilton heads to Brazil just a week after securing top spot, but just what kind of ambitions is the Mercedes driver going to have as he looks to finish off a successful season?

There are obviously going to be questions surrounding Hamilton’s motivation for this race, as he will want to reflect on a brilliant season and a fourth world title. However, you don’t reach that level within any sport without a burning hunger for success, and there’s more for Hamilton to chase this weekend, despite his unassailable lead at the top of the standings. While some may look at this race as a dead rubber, we think it’s anything but.

Who Will Win?

One thing that Hamilton will be focusing on in the coming years is his overall legacy. He doesn’t just want to walk away from the sport with plenty of titles and plaudits, he wants to break records and be seen as the best, as most elite sportsmen do. The Mercedes driver has already spoken about his aim of overthrowing Michael Schumacher’s record for race victories, something that Hamilton can do if he maintains this form. He has a long way to go to match the German legend and so every race counts.

It’s going to take some time for him to hit that mark, but the Brit can go a step closer this weekend. While he’ll have an eye on that overarching goal, the only way to achieve it is to take each race at a time. Without serious competition in the sport, Hamilton does have a great chance of beating Schumacher’s record of 91 victories if he stays competitive for another three or four seasons.

We think Hamilton will build on his title win, especially as he can now race without the pressure of the drivers’ championship battle on his back. He’s got a successful season to look back upon, and we see the Mercedes’ man finishing off this campaign in style, with two closing wins certainly not out of the question.

Other Bets & Odds

The new champion hasn’t just built his success on race wins, he’s already started on pole 11 times this season. That’s an impressive tally, and we’re backing him to add to it this weekend. Many believe the four time world champion is the fastest single-lap racer ever and we’re coming round to that way of thinking. As such, we’re going for Lewis Hamilton to take pole position in Brazil at 8/11 with Betfred.

Felipe Massa returns home ahead of his retirement at the end of the season, so it would be fitting if he could finish off on a high. In front of a passionate home crowd, we’re backing Massa to finish in the top 10 at evens with BetVictor.

One man who stepped up last weekend was Valtteri Bottas, who returned to form by claiming second place. He has kept a spot within the top three of the Drivers’ Championship standings, and we’re backing him to finish in the top three this weekend at 13/8 with Bet365.
