We also have an Edinburgh derby between Hibernian and Hearts to look forward to in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, Aberdeen play Celtic, while Rangers host Kilmarnock on Wednesday.

EFL Cup

There are plenty of tasty games taking place in the League Cup in midweek as Chelsea host Everton, while Leicester City play Leeds United. The televised match comes from the Liberty Stadium in South Wales where Swansea City meet Manchester United. The Tottenham Hotspur versus West Ham United London derby is the tie of the round, playing at the national stadium on Wednesday evening.

Leicester City v Leeds United – 24th October

Leicester City parted company with Craig Shakespeare this week after the Foxes failed to beat West Bromwich Albion. On Tuesday, Leicester host Leeds United at the King Power Stadium in the cup.

One win in eight leaves Leicester in a precarious position in the Premier League table. As for Leeds, three defeats in a row has seen them go from first to sixth in the Football League Championship.

This could be a tight fixture at the King Power, but the top-flight team should be able to get the job done on their own patch. Betfred’s 2/1 for the hosts to win and both teams to score is standing out.

Swansea City v Manchester United – 24th October

Paul Clement’s Swansea and Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd go head-to-head at the Liberty Stadium. The Red Devils have already won 4-0 on this ground this season in a Premier League match back in August.

United have enjoyed a superb start to their season, taking 20 points from the first 24 on offer in the league. Jose’s boys have also sealed three wins out of three in the Champions League. After winning the EFL Cup last term, Man United will be looking to retain their trophy this time around.

The Swans have endured another tough start to their season, and they could struggle in this one. We feel that there’s excellent value in Coral’s 23/20 for the away side to win with a -1 goal handicap in South Wales.

Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United – 25th October

These two rivals played out a thriller in the London Stadium in a Premier League fixture just a few weeks ago. This Wednesday, Tottenham and West Ham lock horns at Wembley Stadium for a place in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs are in tremendous form of late. After beating Bournemouth at Wembley last weekend, the Lilywhites will be hoping that they have finally found the winning formula at their temporary home.

West Ham have made an indifferent start to their season, and we can’t see them getting past Tottenham on Wednesday. Take a punt on Bet365’s 9/1 for Spurs to win 3-0.

Chelsea v Everton – 25th October

Neither Chelsea nor Everton have been in good form of late, but one of these will progress to the last eight of this season’s EFL Cup on Tuesday night. Being on home soil, Antonio Conte’s men are the bookies’ favourites.

After falling to a UEFA Europa League defeat to Lyon on Thursday night, the Toffees have now lost six of their last 10 in all competitions. As for Chelsea, they have gone three matches without a win after losing back-to-back Premier League games and drawing 3-3 with Roma in the UEFA Champions League.

We believe that home advantage could play a key role in the outcome of this one, so take a look at Ladbrokes’ 6/1 for Chelsea to win 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Scottish Premiership

Celtic once again lead the way at the top of the Scottish Premiership, but Aberdeen are level on points in second – on Wednesday, the two Scottish giants meet at Pittodrie. Meanwhile, Rangers welcome Kilmarnock to Ibrox. Before then, though, rivals Hibernian and Hearts square off in a mouth-watering Edinburgh derby on Tuesday.

Hibernian v Hearts – 24th October

Edinburgh rivals Hibernian and Hearts meet at Easter Road in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday evening. These two are separated by just one point in the table.

Fixtures between the pair are always fiery and frantic battles, and the first Edinburg derby of this season promises to be no different. Neil Lennon’s side are strong at home, although they were beaten by Aberdeen last time out at Easter Road.

As for Craig Levein’s troops, they have picked up three wins on the road in the league this term. These two are evenly matched, and the draw (23/10 at Coral) seems the way forward here.

Draw – 23/10 at Coral

Aberdeen v Celtic – 25th October

We may only be nine games into the new season, but Tuesday’s Aberdeen versus Celtic fixture is already a huge one in the Scottish Premiership. Brendan Rodgers’ spectacular unbeaten record is well and truly on the line at Pittodrie.

If any side look capable of toppling the Hoops in Scotland at present, it’s Derek McInnes’ Dons. Both Aberdeen and Celtic have won seven and drawn two to sit joint top on 23 points.

Rodgers’ men have won all of their domestic away games this season, and we can see them sneaking a victory on Wednesday. Ladbrokes are offering 3/5 for the Hoops to come out on top in this big clash.

Celtic to Win – 2/5 at Ladbrokes

Rangers v Kilmarnock – 25th October

Since losing to rivals Celtic last month, Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers have won their last two to move up to third in the Premiership table. After hosting Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup on Saturday, the Gers entertain Kilmarnock at Ibrox in the league this Saturday.

Rangers have made a steady start to their campaign, although they already find themselves six points adrift of the leaders. After winning their last two, it’s important that the Blues keep their momentum going.

Kilmarnock currently sit second from bottom in the top tier, so Rangers should see them off with ease on Saturday. Have a punt on the hosts to win with -1 goal handicap, which is available at 6/5 with Betfair.
